Your photos stay on your device.

This page describes how the current mikesphotos.ca application works. The site is operated personally by Mike Rocheleau in British Columbia, Canada. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled. Advertising is not currently integrated; this page will be updated with provider details and any consent requirements before ads are introduced.

Photo processing

The current photo tools process selected images in your browser. The original image is not uploaded to mikesphotos.ca by these tools. Resize, crop, print analysis, metadata viewing and cleaning, format conversion, and batch enhancement happen locally on your device.

When you download a result, it is a new local copy. Your original file is not changed or deleted.

Metadata

Some tools read metadata from the image you select so they can show camera information, dates, or GPS coordinates. Metadata cleaning creates a new file according to the options you choose. Be careful when sharing metadata views or downloaded files that still contain metadata.

Information handled by the website

The website must receive ordinary web-request information to load, such as an IP address, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps. Hosting, CDN, or security services may temporarily log that information for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security.

The current application does not use accounts or cookies and does not intentionally collect a history of the photos you process. It includes Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate site usage and performance information. The analytics beacon does not receive the image files selected for local processing.

Analytics and advertising

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate site usage and performance information. Advertising is not currently integrated. If ads are added, this page will identify the provider, describe its data practices, and explain any consent requirements before ads are shown.

Future changes

If a future feature needs to upload a photo—for example, a server-side enhancement or paid processing feature—it will be clearly identified before use. We will explain what is uploaded, why it is needed, how long it is retained, and how it is deleted.
